Want to take your Interest in Renewables to the Next Level?

The Center for Sustainable Energy has Announced New Course Offerings for the Fall 08

Part of Bronx Community College, the Center for Sustainable Energy seeks to "promote the use of renewable and efficient energy technologies in urban communities through education, training, workforce development, research, and project facilitation. The Center supports clean energy development and energy conservation as the means to protect the environment, enhance public health, and position New York City to capture emerging economic development opportunities in the energy sector." Tria Case, Executive Director of the Center was one of a few people testifying at the Renewable Energy Public Hearing held here at Hunter College just a few weeks ago. They are a leading force in the development of renewable energy technology, policy, and implementation in the New York City area.

This fall, they are offering a variety of training courses ranging from geo-thermal potential to solar panel installations. Please visit their website to learn more. And if the course you are looking for is full, get yourself on the waiting list for next time. While it might be a frustration to you to not get right in there, the more people on waiting lists, the more people expressing interest in this type of training, allows for NY leaders to see that there is a very real demand for this type of training.
